Mariano “Chicho” Frúmboli and Juana Sepúlveda have been one of the world’s most renowned tango dance couples for almost two decades. Since 2007, they have formed a unique duo, both on stage and in their dance classes, seminars and workshops at festivals and at the world’s most important schools.
Mariano Frúmboli, also known as Chicho, has undoubtedly played a leading role in the creative development of tango over the last 20 years. He is recognised worldwide for his personality, musicality and creativity. He teaches with love and talent, combined with a deep understanding of the dance. His dance is characterised above all by musicality and improvisation. He expresses the essence of the music in his dance in a unique way. In his classes, he emphasises the importance of consciously perceiving the movement of the body. Mariano ‘Chicho’ Frumboli, works as a musician, composer, actor, artist, teacher and tango dancer. Chicho has given the world of tango one of the greatest gifts an artist can ever give: his constant questioning, his never-ending search, his quest for originality and his unlimited creativity.
Juana Sepúlveda, one of the youngest stars in the tango firmament, masters the entire range of expression with innovative subtlety and a breathtaking display of strength in every movement. All this is combined with her unwavering musicality and pure sensuality. With over 15 years of tango experience, great technique, musicality and charisma, Juana is one of the role models for tango dancers today. She tours all over the world to pass on her art and experience.
