Height and age are not special categories of data under Art. 9 GDPR, but we treat them as personal characteristics with particular care (see Section 5). Beyond this, we do not process special categories of personal data, unless you voluntarily provide such data to us (e.g. health-related information when registering for certain activities).
3. Registration forms, contact, and newsletter
When you register for an event, class, or accommodation, you enter your data via a registration form on the website.
All forms require you to confirm, before the registration can be submitted, that the festival organization may contact you to process your booking and to inform you of changes to the programme of the booked activity, by email, telephone, or messaging/social media services (e.g. WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram). This is necessary for the performance of the contract and is therefore mandatory.
Separately, you may optionally agree to receive future news about Presentango, in particular announcements of upcoming festival editions (newsletter). This consent is voluntary and independent of your booking. You may unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time by emailing info@presentango.com.
4. Newsletter in general
The newsletter is sent via our own mail server, without involving an external newsletter provider.
5. Dance partner matching
When registering for dance partner matching, we additionally collect dance experience, language skills, dance preferences, height, and optionally age. This data is treated confidentially, used solely for dance partner matching within the festival, and is not shared with third parties.
6. Payment processing
We offer the following payment methods:
- Bank transfer: the details you provide are processed directly by Presentango to match your payment.
- SumUp (card payment): if you choose this option, you are redirected to a SumUp page where you enter your full payment details (e.g. full card number) directly with SumUp; Presentango does not receive these. To match your payment to your booking, we receive via the bank statement or the SumUp dashboard the payer’s name, the amount, and a partially masked card number.
- Bizum: similarly, you enter your full payment details directly in the Bizum system. To match the payment, we receive via the bank statement the payer’s name or phone number and the amount.
Presentango itself does not transmit personal data to these payment providers; your full payment details are entered directly by you on their respective platforms. We receive the confirmation data described above (name, amount, partially masked card number) solely to match your payment to the relevant booking and for accounting purposes; it is deleted in line with the statutory retention periods (see Section 9).
7. Recipients of data
We do not sell your data to third parties. Data is only shared where legally required (e.g. with tax authorities) or where necessary to fulfil your booking (e.g. passing your name to the partner hotel to arrange your room, if you have booked accommodation).
8. Photos and videos at events
Photos and videos are regularly taken at our events and may be published on the website and social media to document and promote the association’s activities. This is based on our legitimate interest in publicising the association’s activities. If you do not wish to be photographed, filmed, or featured, please let us know before or during the event (e.g. at registration); we will take this into account reasonably when capturing and publishing material. You may object at any time to the publication of an already-published image in which you are identifiable by writing to info@presentango.com; we will remove it promptly.
9. Retention period
We retain personal data only for as long as necessary for the relevant purpose or as required by law (e.g. booking and payment data with tax relevance is generally retained for four to six years under Spanish tax law). Newsletter data is retained until unsubscription. Dance partner matching data is deleted after the relevant festival ends, unless a further use has been agreed. Photos/videos are retained as part of the association’s documentation unless you object.
10. Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing of, port, and object to the processing of your data. You may exercise these rights informally by emailing info@presentango.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (Agencia Española de Protección de Datos, www.aepd.es).
11. International data transfers
Presentango does not transfer personal data outside the EEA. If you load embedded content, your browser establishes a direct connection to the respective provider; this may involve a transfer to third countries over which we have no influence.
12. Cookies
Our websites only use strictly necessary technical cookies required for the website to function and for newsletter subscription. Under Article 22.2 LSSI, these cookies do not require consent. No analytics, tracking, or marketing cookies are used without your consent.
Embedded content: Some pages embed videos from YouTube (Google Ireland Limited). These are not loaded automatically — a placeholder appears in their place. Only when you click it is a connection to YouTube established; the provider may then set cookies and process your IP address. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you give with that click. If you additionally choose to always display content from this provider, we store that decision in a cookie of our own on your device so that you do not have to repeat it for every video. You can withdraw it at any time by deleting this website’s cookies in your browser.
13. Note on the association website
Our separate association website (presentango.com), with information about the association, has its own, more limited privacy policy published there.
14. Changes to this policy
We reserve the right to amend this privacy policy as needed, for example due to changes in our data processing or applicable law. The current version is always available on this page.
